The chairman of NUJ Ondo State council Prince Leke Adegbite has said journalism is not about news alone as we have other entertainment as Integra part of the profession. Disclosing this in Akure at the D JAN Ondo State General Assembly held at the Council press secretary, the chairman said the activities of the D Jan profession are very crucial to the journalism profession due to their good performance in the industry.
Speaking, the chairman said the entertainment industry of the D J Association of Nigeria -D JAN members was filled with vigorous and energetic Youths who have their own influence every. He appreciated the Chairman of the entertainment industry Dayo John for the good work he is doing. He implored the chairman of the D JAN to empowered his members with good equipment because there was no way they could do the job if their was no modern equipment.
He advised the chairman to focus on those who could not afford to buy equipment for themselves as the union could try to partner with those who could help them to be renting equipment for their members to function well. He asked him to partner with the ministry of culture and Tourism in order to reach government so that they could empower their members for them to functions well in their business.
Similarly, He said the DJ may not know their value but the society value them very well because of the great job and service they are rendering to the society.
In another development, the CPS to the state government Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan in his good will message said he was happy to be here to identified with the activities of the DJAN and promised them that his office would try as mush as possible to facilitate the courtesy call to the Governor after the whole electoral process have come to and end.
He said that for now what ever things his is capable of doing to the association he would do it. Both Prince Leke Adegbite and the CPS to the Governor Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan were both received an ambassador honour from the DJAN family and he promised to supported the association with some of two hundred and fifty thousands naira only
